Common use of Defective or Nonconforming Work Clause in Contracts

Defective or Nonconforming Work. Architect shall make written recommendations to District to disapprove or reject Contractor’s work, or to accept Contractor’s work with a reduction in Contract Cost, while it is in progress if Architect believes such work is defective or will not produce a completed Project that conforms to the Contract Documents or that such work will prejudice the integrity of the design concept of the Project as reflected in the Contract Documents.
