Common use of Deferred Approvals Clause in Contracts

Deferred Approvals. Deferred approvals shall be submitted and processed pursuant to the requirements of the Specifications. Deferred approval items may require longer or multiple reviews. The Contractor shall apply skill and knowledge to expedite the deferral approval items from preparation to final approval. The Contractor shall schedule the project activities in order to avoid critical path delays as a result of the deferred approval process. All risks of delay due to the Division of the State Architect’s, or any other governmental agency having jurisdiction, approval of a deferred approval shall be on the requesting party.
