Common use of Defined Terms and Interpretation Clause in Contracts

Defined Terms and Interpretation. Terms defined in the Agreement shall, unless otherwise defined therein, have the same meaning in any addenda, documentation or specifications. Any reference to the Agreement includes the relevant addenda, documentation and/or specifications provided by us in connection with the Agreement. “Business Day” for the purposes of the Agreement includes any day (other than a Saturday or Sunday) when we are open for general business in Paris. Any reference to a “party” is to a party to the Agreement and also includes a reference to that party's successors and permitted assigns. A “person” includes a natural person, corporate or unincorporated body (whether or not having separate legal personality). A reference to any party shall include that party's successors or permitted assigns. A provision of law is a reference to that provision as amended or re-enacted.
