Reclassification refers to the process of evaluating and changing the classification of a position when the duties, responsibilities, and scope of work assigned to that position have substantially changed over a period of at least 2 years, and now exceeds the scope of the current job description. As such, requests based solely on increased workload, employee tenure, or anticipated future responsibilities will not be considered.
