DEFINITION OF CLASSES. While the Employer recognizes the above classifications as being included in the bargaining unit, it is agreed that participation in the benefits of the contract may vary according to the following definition of employee status: A. Full-time Employees (1.0 FTE) Full-time employees are those who are so classified by the Hospital and whose work hours routinely equal eighty (80) hours in a pay period on a regularly scheduled basis. B. Regular Part-time Employees (.5-.9 FTE) Regular part-time employees are those who are so classified by the Hospital and whose work hours are routinely less than eighty (80) hours in a given pay period but forty (40) or more such hours on a regularly scheduled basis. C. Regular Variable Part-time (.5-.7, .5-.8, .6-.8, .6-.9, .7-.9, .7-1.0, .8-1.0) Regular variable part-time employees are those who are so classified by the Hospital and whose work hours are routinely less than eighty (80) hours in a given pay period but forty (40) or more such hours on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular variable part-time employees are employees with a base FTE of record of .5, .6, .7 or .8 who are scheduled at their FTE of record and may be scheduled up to three additional eight (8) hour shifts (that is up to .3 variable FTE) in a given pay period. D. Regular Variable On-Call Part-time (.5-.7, .6-.8, .7-.9, .8-1.0) Regular variable on call part-time employees are those who are so classified by the Hospital and whose work hours are routinely less than eighty (80) hours in a given pay period but forty (40) or more such hours on a regularly scheduled basis. Regular variable on call part-time employees are employees with a base FTE of record of .5, .6, .7, or .8 who are scheduled at their FTE of record and may be scheduled up to two additional eight (8) hour on-call shifts (that is up to .2 variable on-call FTE) in a given pay period. E. Part-time Employees (.1-.4 FTE) Part-time employees are those who are so classified by the Hospital and whose work hours are routinely less than forty (40) per pay period, even if those hours are on a regularly scheduled basis. F. Variable Part-time Employees (.1-.4 FTE) Variable part-time employees are those who are so classified by the Hospital and whose hours are routinely less than forty (40) hours per pay period, even if those hours are on a regularly scheduled basis. Variable part-time employees are .1 FTE employees who are scheduled at their FTE of record and may be scheduled up to three additional eight (8) hour shifts (that is up to .3 variable FTE) in a given pay period.
