Common use of Definition of Inventions Clause in Contracts

Definition of Inventions. “Inventions” mean discoveries, developments, concepts, ideas, methods, designs, improvements, inventions, formulas, processes, techniques, programs, know-how and data, whether or not patentable or registerable under copyright or similar statutes except, in accordance with California Labor Code Section 2870, any such that (a) is not related to the business of the Company, or the Company’s actual or demonstrable research or development, (b) does not involve the use of any equipment, supplies, facility or trade secret information of the Company, (c) was developed entirely on Executive’s own time, and (d) does not result from any work performed by Executive for the Company.
