Common use of Demotion and Dismissal Clause in Contracts

Demotion and Dismissal. No bargaining unit employee who has successfully completed the probationary period and achieved tenure shall be demoted or dismissed except for just cause. A demotion or dismissal action against a tenured employee is subject to the grievance and arbitration procedure.
