DEPOSIT OF COLLATERAL, LIEN ON ACCOUNTS AND LIQUIDATION Sample Clauses

The "Deposit of Collateral, Lien on Accounts and Liquidation" clause establishes the requirement for a party to provide collateral, grants the other party a security interest (lien) over certain accounts, and outlines the process for liquidating those assets if obligations are not met. In practice, this means that a borrower or counterparty must deposit specified assets or funds as security, and the secured party has the right to claim or sell these assets if the depositor defaults on their obligations. This clause is essential for protecting the interests of the secured party by ensuring they have recourse to specific assets in the event of non-performance or default, thereby reducing credit risk.
