Deposit Records and Receipts. We may rely on the account number on any deposit slip or similar record we receive, even if that account number is associated with a name that’s different from the name you have provided. It’s not our responsibility to detect any inconsistency between the account number you provide and the name. If you make a deposit, we may provide a receipt, but the amount on your deposit receipt is based entirely on the deposit slip you complete. We may confirm the funds you deposit and after review may adjust your account for any errors, including any errors on your deposit slip. If we give you a receipt for a certificate of deposit that you decide not to open or we give you a receipt for a deposit that you then cancel, the receipt is void, and you may not claim those funds.
