Description of General Duties. The SRO will serve in a variety of roles, including law enforcement officer, law-related educator, problem-solver, and community liaison. The SRO will address crime and disorder problems, gangs, and drug activities affecting or occurring in or around the School District. The SRO may teach classes in crime prevention, substance abuse awareness, and gang resistance. The SRO will train students in conflict resolution, restorative justice, and crime awareness. The SRO will monitor and assist troubled students through mentoring programs and promote personal and social responsibility by encouraging participation in community service activities. The SRO will continue to build upon the respect and understanding between law enforcement and the school communities. The SRO will identify physical changes in the environment that could reduce crime in and around the School District. The SRO will help develop school policies that address criminal activity and school safety. The SRO will become a trusted channel of communications with the students, parents, and teachers. The SRO will serve as a positive role model to instill in students high moral standards, good judgment and discretion, respect for other students, and a sincere concern for the school community. The SRO will promote citizen awareness to enable students to become better informed and effective citizens. The SRO will empower students with the knowledge of the law, the obligations regarding enforcement, and the consequences for violations. The SRO will serve as a source of counseling for students and parents in addition to providing information on community resources available to them.
Description of General Duties. The National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO) suggests that an SRO be applied using the “Triad” concept. This means that the SRO serves as a law enforcement officer, an informal educator, and an informal mentor. Additional roles and responsibilities include: a. Provide for and maintain a safe, healthy, and productive learning environment in a school. b. Act as a liaison between the school, the LEA, and the Agency. c. Address crime and disorder problems that impact school safety occurring in and around the school. d. Be present at the school when students or staff are in the building or have alternative coverage arranged. e. Description of General Duties. Duties of the School Resource Officer Duties of the SRO, described with more specificity in Section 6, below, will include, but not be limited to:  Instruct students in grades 6 and 8 health classes in conflict resolution, crime awareness, and anger management;  Present a minimum of five educational programs (i.e. technology and crime, drug related behaviors, crime awareness) annually to school employees, parents, and school board members;  Provide a police presence in the School District in order to promote and provide an atmosphere of enhanced school safety for faculty, staff, students and school visitors.  Provide a Law Enforcement resource to students, teachers, school administrators and parents, so as to:  Increase student awareness about personal safety, crime prevention, internet safety, conflict resolution, violence prevention, restorative justice, peer mediation, other related topics through formal and informal instructional strategies.  Increase school faculty and staff awareness about policies and procedures for preventing/responding to incidents of violence and other threats to school safety.  Build relationships by being a liaison between the WCSO and the District;  Present evaluations regarding crime and disorder problems and gang and drug activities occurring in and around the school  Assist the schools with security concerns and recommend changes to enhance security;  Assist in preparation of response plans and respond to criminal activity in and around the school (as per the Safe Schools Against Violence in Education Act);  Assist the District in meeting requirements mandated by New York State Law;  Attend monthly management team meetings.   • General Duties It shall be the duty of the Owner Trustee to discharge (or cause to be discharged) all of its responsibilities pursuant to the terms of this Agreement and the Sale and Servicing Agreement and to administer the Trust in the interest of the Holder, subject to the Basic Documents and in accordance with the provisions of this Agreement. Notwithstanding the foregoing, the Owner Trustee shall be deemed to have discharged its duties and responsibilities hereunder and under the Basic Documents to the extent the Servicer has agreed in the Sale and Servicing Agreement to perform any act or to discharge any duty of the Trust or the Owner Trustee hereunder or under any Basic Document, and the Owner Trustee shall not be liable for the default or failure of the Servicer to carry out its obligations under the Sale and Servicing Agreement.

  • General Duties and Responsibilities 1. Responsibilities under the General Conditions of the Contract for Construction: In addition to the responsibilities herein set forth, Consulting Engineer/Architect agrees to be responsible for those matters identified in the General Conditions as being responsibilities of the Consulting Engineer/Architect. Consulting Engineer/Architect specifically acknowledges receipt of a copy of the General Conditions and acceptance of the responsibilities as set forth therein.

  • General Description of Services The A-E will be contacted by County Project Management staff on an “as-needed” basis as projects arise to provide A-E for professional services. Requirements will be discussed by both Parties and A-E shall prepare a written Scope Statement that will include the specific work to be performed, including the costs and time required to complete the project/task. Orange County Project Management staff will then review the A-E’s Scope Statement, proceed with negotiation of task costs and when satisfied, issue a Contract Task Order (“CTO”) against this Contract. The A-E shall serve as lead of a design team that may include other construction design professionals working together to ensure that the original design is carried through to the finished product, with no alterations in materials or design that would lead to safety issues or compromise the quality of the building or building component. Other team members who may be retained by the lead to support a project as a consultant may include but are not limited to landscape architects, lighting designers, data consultants, security consultants, controls engineers, commissioning consultants, traffic engineers, surveyors, estimators, special inspection, etc. The A-E shall be responsible for the preparation of comprehensive building assessments, designs, drawings, specifications, cost estimates, and reports within the scope of the CTO. In the preparation of construction drawings and specification, the A-E shall also responsible for: A. Obtaining data by reviewing record drawings, visiting the site of the construction and by conferences with the User/Client and facility maintenance staff or by other actions as necessary to develop the design; B. Checking of shop drawings, submittals, materials and other data submitted by the Construction Contractor for approval; C. Furnishing consultation and advice to County to clarify the intent of the drawings and specifications and on questions that may arise during the construction of the project; D. Space planning, programming and code compliance review and upgrades; E. The meeting of submittal dates included in the Scope Statement of the Contract Task Order, including the work of consultants; F. Coordination with various agencies having authority of jurisdiction for planning services, entitlement, fire life safety, CEQA, ADA, etc.; G. Construction administration services, testing and commissioning; H. Close out services, as-built plans, material lists, project acceptance, etc. I. The coordination of the various elements of the design to assure compatibility of architectural, structural, electrical, mechanical/plumbing, and other design features; J. Other services as specifically included in the Contract Task Order related to project Initiation, Planning/Design, Bid/Award, Construction and Closeout. The A-E shall restrict themselves to the Scope Statement of the Contract Task Order. Any changes in the Scope Statement shall require prior written authorization by County.

  • Certain Duties and Responsibilities The duties and responsibilities of the Trustee shall be as provided by the Trust Indenture Act. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no provision of this Indenture shall require the Trustee to expend or risk its own funds or otherwise incur any financial liability in the performance of any of its duties hereunder, or in the exercise of any of its rights or powers, if it shall have reasonable grounds for believing that repayment of such funds or adequate indemnity against such risk or liability is not reasonably assured to it. Whether or not therein expressly so provided, every provision of this Indenture relating to the conduct or affecting the liability of or affording protection to the Trustee shall be subject to the provisions of this Section.

These positions shall include, but not be limited to, Head Teachers, Department Heads, Teachers-in-Charge, Supervisors, Area Counsellors and Coordinators.
