Common use of Descriptive Data Clause in Contracts

Descriptive Data. The Contractor shall furnish detailed information and descriptive data for the different materials, accessories, and equipment to be incorporated into the work, for the purpose of determining quality and compliance with the requirements of the specifications. Any material, accessories or equipment that, in the judgment of the Contracting Officer does not comply with the specifications, shall be rejected. The products of any recognized manufacturer, regularly engaged in his commercial production, shall not be excluded on the basis of minor differences, as long as he is in compliance with specification requirements concerning materials, capacity, and performance.
