Common use of Designated Duties Clause in Contracts

Designated Duties. City hereby agrees to employ Employee as Police Chief to perform the functions and duties pertaining to the Police Chief position, and to perform other legally permissible duties and such functions as the City Manager shall from time to time assign. The City Manager shall have the authority to determine the specific duties and functions that Employee shall perform under the Agreement and the means and manner by which Employee shall perform those duties and functions. Employee agrees to devote all business time, skill, attention and best efforts to the discharge of the duties and functions assigned by the City Manager.
