Determination of an Appropriate Employee Group Clause Samples

Determination of an Appropriate Employee Group. It is not the intent that the implementation of a 6/3 type work schedule be contingent upon it applying to all employees at a location. In the interest of an efficient utilization of manpower, it is essential that the Company retain the responsibility for the establishment of an appropriate employee group when implementing work schedules. In making such a determination, it is then incumbent on both parties to jointly review all aspects of the situation to arrive at the most acceptable work schedule which will meet the required distribution of staff and cover the work requirements. Although a 6/3 type work schedule may be implemented for the majority of employees at a location, some employees may be required to work a fixed 5/2 work schedule in order to specialize in a particular work function, provide additional coverage on a shift, meet an uneven weekly work requirement, etc.
