Common use of Discipline Standard Clause in Contracts

Discipline Standard. ‌ No non-probationary bargaining unit member shall be disciplined, reprimanded, demoted, or denied continued employment for a reason that is arbitrary or capricious without an investigation. Any such discipline, consisting of five (5) days unpaid suspension or more, shall be subject to the professional grievance procedure. All information forming the basis for disciplinary action shall be made available to the bargaining unit member upon request, within reasonable legal limits.
