Common use of Discontinuance of Operations Clause in Contracts

Discontinuance of Operations. When operations or departments are discontinued, employees affected will be given other work in the plant which they can do and without change of ranking for seniority. Work will be made available in the following order: (a) Open jobs. (b) Jobs of probationary employees. (c) Jobs of lesser seniority employees.
