Common use of DURATION, MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION Clause in Contracts

DURATION, MODIFICATION AND TERMINATION. 1. This Agreement is concluded for an indefinite period and can be modified by agreement in writing between the Contracting Parties. 2. Subject to paragraph 3 of this Article, this Agreement shall remain in force until the expiration of 12 months from the date on which either Contracting Party receives from the other a note through the diplomatic channel giving notice of termination of this Agreement. 3. In the event of termination, this Agreement shall continue to have effect in relation to all persons who: (a) at the date on which termination takes effect, are in receipt of benefits; or (b) prior to that date have lodged claims for, and would be entitled to receive, benefits by virtue of this Agreement; or (c) immediately before the date of termination are subject to the legislation of only one Contracting Party by virtue of Articles 8 or 9 of Part II of this Agreement, provided the employee continues to satisfy the criteria of these Articles.
