E ffect of Termination. (a) Except as provided in Section 5.3(b) of this Addendum, upon termination of this Addendum, for any reason, Business Associate shall return to Covered Entity or destroy all PHI. (b) If Covered Entity determines that it is not feasible for Business Associate to return or destroy any or all PHI, Business Associate shall extend the protections of this Addendum to such PHI and limit further uses and disclosures of such PHI to those purposes that make the return or destruction infeasible, for so long as Business Associate maintains such PHI.
