Common use of EAP Clause in Contracts

EAP. The employee who appears to have a substance use disorder, behavioral, 8 or other problem which is affecting job performance or interfering with the ability to do the job, shall 9 be encouraged to seek information, counseling, or assistance through private sources that they may 10 be aware of or sources available through the King County Employee Assistance Program (EAP). 11 Employees are encouraged to make use of such sources on a self-referral basis and supervisors will 12 assist in maintaining confidentiality. No employee’s job security will be placed in jeopardy as a 13 result of seeking and following through with corrective treatment, counseling, or advice.
