Effect of Changes in Law (Other than PERS Litigation). In the event the City’s payment of a six percent (6%) employee contribution under Article 16.1 or Article 16.2 , asas applicable, must be discontinued due to a change in law, valid ballot measure, constitutional amendment, or a final, non-appealable judgment from a court of competent jurisdiction (other than the PERS Litigation), the City shall increase by six percent (6%) the base salary rates for each classification in the salary schedules applicable to the members of the bargaining unit in lieu of the six percent (6%)
