Common use of Effective Date of Coverage Clause in Contracts

Effective Date of Coverage. MCO coverage of Enrollees shall commence as follows: For Medical Assistance, when enrollment occurs and has been entered on the STATE’s MMIS on or before the Cut-Off Date, medical coverage shall commence at midnight, Minnesota time, on the first day of the month following the month in which the enrollment was entered on the STATE MMIS. For Medical Assistance, when enrollment occurs and has been entered on the STATE’s MMIS after the Cut-Off Date, medical coverage shall commence at midnight, Minnesota time, on the first day of the second month following the month in which the enrollment was entered on the STATE MMIS. For MinnesotaCare, when enrollment occurs and has been entered on the STATE’s MMIS on or before the last working day of the month and if applicable the Premium has been paid, medical coverage shall commence at midnight, Minnesota time, on the first day of the month following the month in which the enrollment was entered on the STATE MMIS.
