Common use of Electrical Engineer Clause in Contracts

Electrical Engineer. The electrical engineer is responsible for all aspects of electrical engineering design and quality control. Without derogating from the generality thereof, the electrical engineer will perform the following specific functions and duties in respect of electrical aspects of the works:- 4.1 Give opinion on aspects of the works which are not in accordance with the agreement. 4.2 Supply the specified number of drawings. 4.3 Issue instructions if bills of quantities/lump sum document are to be used as a specification. 4.4 Be responsible for the design of the works. 4.5 Receive and accept design documentation and design undertaken by nominated or selected subcontractors. 4.6 Issue contract instructions to the contractor regarding:- 4.6.1 Alteration to design, quality or quantity of the works provided that such contract instructions shall not substantially change the scope of the works.
