Common use of Eligible List Clause in Contracts

Eligible List. The names of the successful qualified candidates shall be recorded on an eligible list. Eligible lists shall continue in effect one (1) year after establishment. The name of any person on an eligible list may be removed by the Personnel Office if the eligible person requests in writing that his or her name be removed, or if he or she fails to respond to a written offer of employment within five (5) business days next succeeding the mailing of notice. If a candidate waives an offer of employment the candidate shall be removed from the eligible list.
