Common use of Employee Shift Exchange Clause in Contracts

Employee Shift Exchange. (a) Employees may exchange shifts among themselves, provided that: (i) the exchange is agreed to, in writing, between the affected Employees; and (ii) prior approval of such exchange has been given by the Employee’s immediate supervisor. (b) Where such a request is made in writing, the Employer’s reply shall also be in writing. (c) Such exchange shall be recorded on the shift schedule. (d) Such exchange shall not be a violation of the provisions of this Collective Agreement. (e) Such change shall not result in any extra cost for the Employer.
