Common use of Employee Shift Exchange Clause in Contracts

Employee Shift Exchange. (a) Employees may exchange shifts among themselves, provided that: (i) prior approval of such exchange has been given by the Employee’s immediate supervisor; and (ii) the exchange is agreed to, in writing, between the affected Employees; and the employer is notified prior to the proposed exchange, and (iii) where a request for approval is made in writing, the Employee’s immediate supervisor’s reply shall also be in writing. (b) Such exchange shall be recorded on the shift schedule. (c) Such exchange shall not be deemed a violation of the scheduling provisions of this Article.
