ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. 34:01 Continuous Engagement

ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. ‌ All dancers must be signed to an Equity Engagement Contract.

ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. Personnel engaged by the Engager to perform Stage Management duties as herein defined must be properly contracted on the Engager’s computer-generated COA Engagement Contract forms, as approved by Equity (see Appendix B-Side Letter for Computer-Generated COA Engagement Contracts).

ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. Stage Management‌ Engagement Contracts shall be provided to Stage Management personnel who are under contract with the Engager for any production during the current season no later than May 15 of each year. Starting with their fifth (5th) season of engagement, engagement contracts will be provided to Stage Management personnel no later than February 1 of each year.

ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. ‌ 34:01 Continuous Engagement‌ Continuous engagement of the Artist is of the essence of all ITA Engagement Contracts. Engagement thereunder shall begin on the date of the beginning of rehearsals or required date of arrival if earlier, and shall continue until terminated as herein provided, and not otherwise. All calculations of sums due or benefits accruing to the Artist shall be computed in Canadian dollars on the basis of consecutive rehearsals and consecutive engagement. 34:02 Minimum Period‌ The minimum period of engagement shall be two (2) weeks. For festivals, showcases and industry events, the minimum contract period may be one (1) week. Further opportunities may exist where an engagement of less than two weeks may be allowed with the written approval of Equity. The preparation period for Stage Management for short contracts will be determined in discussion between the Theatre and the Stage Manager per Clause 63:06 (A).

ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. ‌ A Fight Director may be engaged to choreograph one or more stage fights in a single production. The Engagement Contract shall specify the stage fight(s) to be set by the Fight Director as well as the anticipated amount of rehearsal time allocated to each stage fight. The Fight Director shall be advised by rider to his/her Engagement Contract of the anticipated dates of rehearsal. Any change to said dates shall be by mutual agreement between the Artist and the Engager, and confirmed in writing by rider to the Engagement Contract.

ENGAGEMENT CONTRACTS. For Non-Standard Activities the Artist will be signed to a ITA Engagement Contract with a rider agreed to by Equity detailing hours of work, rates of pay, and public presentation schedule (if any), and stipulating that the engagement is subject to Article 57:00.
