Engineering Supervision a. The Developer will ensure necessary supervision is provided by the Consultant when construction is in progress. Supervision shall be at a level sufficient for the Consultant to verify all work is conducted in accordance with the plans and specifications and to carry out the following: i Inspection 1. All pipes and fittings shall be inspected in place prior to backfill; 2. Verification will be made that all material meets specifications and that work is completed using consistent methods; 3. Obtain invert elevations for all sanitary and storm (if applicable) laterals at the property line. ii Testing iii Reports 1. Soil and geotechnical testing shall be performed on the site if determined necessary by the Consultant or the City; 2. Streets, sidewalks and curbs shall be tested in accordance with the City of Summerside Development Standards; 3. All water, sanitary sewer and storm drainage systems shall be tested in accordance with the City of Summerside Development Standards; 1. A daily log shall be maintained indicating work completed by the Contractor, and tests and inspections conducted; 2. At completion of Construction, a letter from the consultant stating that the work has been completed in accordance with this agreement; 3. Reports shall be prepared on all test results. b. The Developer shall bear the cost of all inspections and testing required by the City in order to determine the acceptability of the work. Results of all tests shall be forwarded to the City as the tests are conducted and reports prepared.

  • SITE SUPERVISION 1.9.1 Contractor shall provide adequate supervision of his employees to ensure complete and satisfactory performance of all work in accordance with the terms of the contract.   • Site Safety Supervisor 62.1 On every job site, where the Employer is the principal contractor it shall appoint a management representative responsible for safety (Site Safety Supervisor). The Employer will ensure the Site Safety Supervisor has the necessary authority to ensure that all safety laws, procedures or Codes of Practice are observed, and that the following Safety Agreement is applied. 62.2 The Employer when appointing the person appointed as the Site Safety Supervisor must ensure that person has and maintainsthe appropriate experience and knowledge of the safety requirements of the work being performed. Other duties may be assigned by the Employer to a Site Safety Supervisor, provided that such duties shall not prevent him/her from exercising their duties as a Site Safety Supervisor.
