Enrollment Information. Prior to the child’s enrollment, this Pegasus Agreement will be signed each year by the special education coordinator and parent. New to program parents must attend a mandatory Orientation held in May. • Parents must make a one-time non-refundable deposit of one month’s tuition at the time of Orientation. This deposit will be used as the first month’s tuition. Should the parents choose not to enroll the child, or subsequently to withdraw their child from the program, the deposit is non- refundable and will be used to defray Pegasus costs. o The deposit can be paid online through the PFISD webstore, by check, or by filling out a June payroll deduction form to have it deducted from the employee’s June 2019 paycheck. • Pegasus classrooms not meeting the required enrollment of ten role models will be reviewed by the District to ensure the most inclusive opportunities for children with disabilities. Options the District may chose to implement to resolve the issue of lack of enrollment may include: o Recruitment of additional children of PfISD staff members. o Placement of additional students who are eligible under IDEA into the classroom. • After the Pegasus application period has ended and the Pegasus Advisory Board has completed the selection process, any applications of children who did not receive a Pegasus slot are forwarded to the special education coordinator. Should openings occur in any Pegasus campus, the selection process will be applied to those applications. • Upon enrollment, parents shall complete the registration process at their Pegasus campus. If the registration process is not completed by the first day of school, the position will be given to another child. o Registration documents include a birth certificate, shot records and campus paperwork. • Tuition is based on a total payment of $6,000.00 for the school year. o In the event your child attends for a shortened day, we are not able to pro-rate the cost of the program. The monthly payment is paying for the actual slot in the Pegasus classroom. • Tuition is paid in 10 equal payments of $600.00 which consist of the following: o The first payment is due upon acceptance into the program and serves as the non- refundable deposit of $600.00. ▪ The deposit will serve as the first of the ten equal payments and will convert in August as your first payment. • This deposit is required by May 16, 2019, for new families during the Parent Orientation meeting. You may pay online through the PFISD Webstore, write a check or submit a payroll deduction form for your June 2019 paycheck to be deducted. • A child’s place is not secured until the deposit has been paid. A Payroll Deduction Authorization Form is attached to this Program Agreement. The Payroll Deduction Authorization form must be completed and signed by the special education coordinator along with the Program Agreement. o Nine equal payroll deductions of $600.00, beginning September 27, 2019, and ending May 27, 2020. • In the event that the parent/district employee is not receiving a paycheck for the month (FMLA or other issues), they must send in a check or payonline through the PFISD Webstore to cover the cost of the month payable to Pflugerville ISD. Please submit the payment to the attention of ▇▇▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇, Special Education Coordinator and send to the administration office. A late fee of $10.00 is due if collected after the 1st of the month. • A cancellation of payroll deduction form is available upon request in the event you wish to cancel Pegasus. In the event that a district employee chooses to discontinue enrollment in the Pegasus program the cancellation form must be turned in to the business office one month in advance. Please remember that starting with September’s paycheck deductions are made for the current month of your child’s enrollment in the program. • PfISD does not charge for the Pegasus program by the week or charge additional fees such as annual registration or curriculum. However, we do ask that students bring supplies per the teacher school supply list at the beginning of the school year or upon entry into the Pegasus program. • Pegasus students who enroll after May 2019 will be expected to submit the non-refundable deposit prior to enrollment. A pro-rated amount will be determined based on the amount of days Pegasus is open for the month of enrollment. • Pegasus students whose parents are not district employees (i.e. a relative placement), must pay tuition on or before the 27th of each month. A $10 late fee will be applied each day the payment is late. You are required to pay tuition online through the PFISD Webstore. Checks will not be accepted. If you do not make a timely payment OR fail to pay the late fee, your child will be unenrolled from the program. • PFISD employees must pay the tuition through payroll deduction.
