Environmental and Social Performance. According to MCC Environmental Guidelines, this Activity is considered to be a “Category B” project, as minor environmental impacts may occur. Appropriate environmental and social assessment and mitigation measures and proper due diligence will be implemented in accordance with MCC Environmental Guidelines in order to ensure that these programs are well designed and will not result in adverse environmental health and safety impacts. Proposed investments should be assessed in broad terms to ensure that technical and environmental supporting infrastructure is in place for the investments, such as sufficient structural capacity and adequate electrical, gas, water supply and sanitation facilities.
