Common use of Estimates of Quantities Clause in Contracts

Estimates of Quantities. The Contractor is advised that quantities referenced herein are estimates only and that actual quantities may vary widely from estimates given herein. Estimates given are based on previous experience and not on completed surveys. The Commissioner reserves the right to increase or decrease the quantities estimated herein by any amount up to 50% of the total Bid Quantity. Actual quantities may be more or less than that noted on the bid schedule, and, if so, no claims for damage or loss of profit shall accrue to the Contractor by reason thereof.
