It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values though the experience it offers all its pupils. Recognising its historic foundation, the Academy will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at Parish and Diocesan level. 3.2 The Academy’s mission is as follows: At St. Aidan’s Church of England High School we educate every child in our safekeeping within a caring and Christian community. We open minds, unlock potential and celebrate success. We seek to establish a life-long love of learning. Our children are part of God’s world and we help them to understand their place in it.
