Evaluations. Formal written evaluations will be made each school year by the administration (aAppendix J). Three (3) copies of each evaluation are to be made. Evaluations. 2. The administration will consult with the Association in the preparation or modification of all teacher evaluative forms, policies, and procedures. The forms and process delineated in the Framework for Effective Teaching will be used and made available to staff. See attachment A and B.
3. Teachers performing supplemental activities will be evaluated annually by the building administrator within 5 business thirty (30) calendar days of the evaluation’s completion. A copy of any written evaluation of an employee’s performance shall be forwarded to the employee last game, or within 10 business thirty (30) calendar days of such evaluation being made.
(b) The employee may add their written comments to the Supervisor’s evaluation if they wishlast meeting for non-athletic activities. Any such written comments shall be appended to the evaluation.

(b) 5.4 An Administrator shall have the right to respond in writing to any evaluation. Such response shall be received by the Superintendent within 10 days of the Administrator’s receipt of his/her evaluation and shall be placed with the evaluation in the Administrator’s personnel file.
5.5 In the event that an employee is Administrator receives an unsatisfactory evaluation, his/her salary increase scheduled for the ensuing year shall be held in abeyance until s/he meets with the Superintendent. The meeting with the Superintendent shall take place within ten (10) working days following the completion of the written evaluation. Following such meeting the Superintendent shall make a recommendation on the denial or modification of the salary increase scheduled for the ensuing school year and review his/her findings and recommendations with the Board of Education.
5.6 If a majority of the Board of Education accepts the Superintendent's findings and recommendations of unsatisfactory performance, then the Administrator shall be given the opportunity to meet with the full Board, in executive session, to present additional documentation or testimony in his behalf. The Superintendent of Schools shall be present for such meeting.
5.7 The decision of the Board shall not evaluated by students during be arbitrary or capricious. The decision of the teaching of a course, they Board shall be final and binding upon the Administrator and will be deemed applicable only for the one

Evaluations. 9.1 Unit members shall be evaluated by an administrator(s) designated by the Superintendent. The designated evaluator(s) shall sign the evaluation.
9.2 The purpose of the evaluation shall be to assess job performance, recognize work performed well by the unit member, and to identify areas of required improvement in job performance including appropriate measures to accomplish such improvement.
9.3 Probationary unit members shall be formally evaluated at least twice during the probationary period of twelve (a12) months. The Employer has first evaluation shall not be later than the right end of eighty (80) working days and the second not later than the end of one hundred sixty (160) working days of employment.
9.4 Permanent unit members shall be formally evaluated at least once each year. Evaluations. (a) A. The Employer has Committee agrees to evaluate the right Superintendent, in writing, once during each fiscal year using the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation System based on M.G.L. c. 71, §38; M.G.L. c150E; the Educator E valuation regulations, 603 CMR 35.00 et seq; and the Model System for Educator Evaluation developed, and which may be updated from time to require evaluations including student evaluations time by the MA Department of employees Elementary and use these evaluations Secondary Education. B. The Committee will discuss and review the Superintendent’s job performance, in accordance with the Massachusetts Educator Evaluation System, with the Superintendent once annually in open session. School Committee members may contribute to the Superintendent’s annual evaluation only if they have served on the Committee for the majority of the contract year.
C. The annual evaluation shall consist of a transparentcomposite document prepared by the Chair of the Committee, fair reflecting the consensus among the individual Committee members. Should any member prepare an individual evaluation document, such document shall be shared only with the Superintendent and reasonable manner the Chair by such individual Committee member.
D. At the annual meeting in making future employment decisionswhich the Superintendent’s performance is discussed, the Committee shall provide the Superintendent an opportunity to respond to any information brought forth at that same meeting or, at the Superintendent’s election, at a subsequent meeting. All evaluations public discussion of the performance of the Superintendent will be conducted by the Committee only in accordance with these provisions, and shall be conducted in writingopen session except for such discussion that is part of negotiations of goals or compensation, which shall be conducted in executive session.

Prior to the public meeting at which the Committee members discuss and deliberate regarding the Superintendent’s performance, the Superintendent shall schedule an individual and private meeting with each Committee member so that she may discuss with each member his or her own individual concerns, conclusions and findings concerning the Superintendent’s performance before they are shared with the Committee as a whole. No Committee member may raise in a public discussion, including the open meeting at which the Superintendent’s performance is discussed, any matter not first brought privately and individually to give such written permissionthe attention of the Superintendent pursuant to this paragraph.

Evaluations. A. The purpose of a meaningful evaluation should be to identify and assess the effectiveness of professional employees in performing their contractual responsibilities for the Board. It is important for professional teachers to provide a level of increased professional improvement and accountability by:
1. Demonstrating ways to improve instructional methodologies that will implement all curriculum initiatives.
2. Promoting good public relations with parents and the community.
3. Providing and participating in new initiatives that will improve the quality of the instructional program.
4. Developing significant intervention strategies that will have a positive effect on students’ learning.
5. Assisting teachers with new guidelines surrounding licensure.
B. The evaluation will identify observations of the administrators, strengths of the employees and areas that are in need of improvement. It shall be the employee’s responsibility to exhibit the necessary improvement and the administration will lend assistance to employees in achieving their goals by offering suggestions and resources for improvement according to Board Policy.
C. Any employee hired after November 1st will complete a Professional Growth Plan no later than thirty (a30) school days into their assignment. They will then begin the evaluation cycle with the Mid Year Preconference.
D. Evaluators may make electronic recordings (audio, still picture, video, or any combination) provided that the teacher has agreed to such recordings prior to the observation or walk-through.
E. Nothing shall preclude a principal from making a classroom visit or observation or conferencing with an employee at any time.
F. The Employer observation and evaluation forms must be signed by the employee indicating that conferences were held at each step of the procedure, the employee has seen but not necessarily agreed with the evaluation, and that copies of the forms have been given to the employee.
G. The observation and evaluation forms shall be adopted by the Board. The present forms may be changed by the Board, but before it does so, a joint committee equally made up of administrators and C.F.V.E.A. members shall be established to recommend to the Board changes in the forms. The faculty representatives to the committee shall be selected by the C.F.V.E.
H. At the final evaluation conference, goals for the following school year should be discussed.
I. 12.2.4 Employees who work more than sixty (a60) The evaluation days per year will be evaluated by their supervisor at least once during an Agreement year. Evaluations. 16.1 This Article sets out general guidelines for a formal evaluation process, which includes the coaching necessary to support ongoing professional growth. (a) In the event that a Supervisor’s evaluation has been donegoals are not mutually agreed upon by July 30 or 30 days after newly hired administrators begin work in the District, the Employer assigned evaluator shall notify establish reasonable goals within 15 calendar days.
D. The assigned evaluator shall conduct a formal meeting with each administrator no later than December 15 and March 15 at which time the employee administrator shall receive feedback on his/her performance. The administrator shall receive a draft written evaluation report between June 1 and June 15 reflecting such administrator’s performance as measured by the goals established in the individualized performance plan. The administrator shall have the option of requesting a conference with the assigned evaluator within 5 business five calendar days. If requested, such conference shall be held by June 30. The final written evaluation report shall be due by June 30 or ten calendar days after the conference, whichever is later. The written evaluation report shall have as its conclusion one of the evaluation’s completionfollowing performance ratings:

E. Administrators whose performance is unsatisfactory during the first semester of any a school year shall be advised in writing by February 1 of the areas of unsatisfactory performance and specific suggestions for improvement. Administrators whose performance is unsatisfactory during the second semester and who have not otherwise received an advisement of unsatisfactory performance for the first semester shall be advised in writing by April 15 of the areas of unsatisfactory performance and specific suggestions for improvement.

Evaluations. 1. Employees covered by this Agreement shall be evaluated by an administrator designated by the Superintendent
2. Probationary employees shall be formally evaluated at the completion of three (a3) months and six (6) months after hire or one-hundred-thirty (130) days of paid service, whichever is longer. Probationary Period: All new employees shall have a one-year probationary period which shall expire at the calendar anniversary of their start date. For example, for an employee hired on September 1, 2006, their probationary period will end on August 31, 2007. Any employee who is hired after July 1, 2004 who passes their probationary period shall receive a step increment. An employee who is promoted shall serve a probationary period of six (6) work months (130 work days) in the higher classification and will retain the original anniversary date for purposes of step increase. Should a permanent employee who is serving a probationary period as a result of a promotion be found unsatisfactory in the higher position, or should the permanent employee find the higher position unsatisfactory, he/she shall be reinstated in permanent status of former classification unless there is cause for dismissal.

Evaluations. (a) The Employer has parties recognize that the evaluation instrument appropriate for non-classroom unit members differs from that used for classroom teachers. The parties agree that it is necessary to design evaluation instruments appropriate for non-classroom unit members through continued negotiations during the 2011-2012 and 2012-2013 school years. Negotiated changes to Article 8, shall not replace the right to require evaluations including student evaluations present two (2) additional Articles for negotiations as described in Article 22 for the 2012-2013 school year. The parties recognize the need and agree to work toward the development of employees evaluation instruments appropriate for non-classroom unit members.
8.1 The intent of the observation/evaluation process shall be to maintain and use these evaluations improve the quality of the instructional program. The observation/evaluation process shall be conducted in a transparentmanner which recognizes both the teacher and the administrator as professionals, fair and reasonable manner creates an atmosphere of trust and cooperation between the participants in making future employment decisionsthe process. This statement of purpose shall not be subject to the grievance process.
8.2 The District shall evaluate all permanent unit members no less than once every two (2) years or, if they have been employed by the District for at least ten (10) years, are authorized to teach English learners, and were rated as exceeding or meeting standards in their previous evaluation, may be evaluated at least once every five years, if the evaluator and unit member being evaluated agree. The unit member or the evaluator may withdraw consent at any time. All evaluations probationary and temporary unit members shall be in writingevaluated no less than once each year.

(a) The employee will request student participation in course evaluations. Completion rates of student evaluations may be shared with the employee, their Supervisor 8.5.3 Standard 3: Understanding and ▇▇▇▇Organizing Subject Matter for Student Learning.
(b) In the event that an employee is not evaluated by students during the teaching of a course, they will be deemed to have received a satisfactory student evaluation8.5.4 Standard 4: Planning Instruction and Designating Learning Experiences for All Students.
