Excess and Surplus Lines Placement. Producer shall not place an order with Orchid for any excess or surplus lines insurance unless Producer shall have first complied with any applicable state laws requiring Producer to attempt to procure such insurance from insurers authorized to do business in the state in which the risk is located. For excess or surplus lines insurance placed by Orchid for Producer, ▇▇▇▇▇▇ shall be responsible for filing the surplus lines taxes and fees and remitting payment to the appropriate regulatory authority.
