Common use of EXTENT OF THE WORKS Clause in Contracts

EXTENT OF THE WORKS. The scope of Works includes the detailed design, engineering, drawings, procurement, manufacture, quality control & assurance, supply, delivery, installation, commissioning, testing, handing over, and maintenance during the guarantee period of all materials and equipment necessary for the complete Control and Instrumentation scope at Majuba Power Station. The Contractor reads this Works Information in conjunction with the rest of this contract in its entirety, including tender drawings and standards. a. In addition to the requirements stated herein, the Contractor:  Provides for all actuators and drives as per Annexure B “Drive and Actuator Schedule”.  Provides for all instrumentation as per Annexure B “Instrument Schedule”.  Provides for all interfaces as per Annexure B “IO Function Block Diagram”. CONTRACT 63 ECC3 COVER PAGES  Provides all plant, materials and services as shown in Annexure B “Limits of Supply and Services”.  Provides for all interfaces as per Annexure B “Panel Interface List”.  Provides all signals in Annexure B “Virtual Signal List”. b. The Contractor amends any of the above appendices, where necessary (to assign responsibilities based on the Contractor’s sub-contracting strategy etc…), where an error or omission has been made by the Employer, or to cater for the Contractor’s design, to fulfil the requirements of the Works and submits the appendices to the Project Manager for approval. c. The Contractor adopts the above appendices as templates for the Works. All submissions of these appendices conform to these templates. d. Furthermore, the following templates are adopted and conformed to for the Works:  DCS Termination Schedules and IO lists (see Annexure B ABB and LLP Terminations)  Junction box Termination Schedules (see Annexure B 520SH1-2)  Fire detection system loop drawings (see Annexure B 0.66 99032 Rev.2_Fire Detection Overland Conveyor - Zone 6 - As Built)  Fire detection system layout drawings (see Annexure B 57718 - Aux Bay U1 16m & 13.8m Level )  Long line protection system drawings (see Annexure B 00ECA21_Reclaim)
