Common use of Extent of Work Clause in Contracts

Extent of Work. The tenderer will: Carry out detailed site surveys with facilities manager and technical representatives, this will establish current occupancy and future requirements that may affect the proposed power optimisation systems, backup systems in place such as site generators and uninterruptible power supplies Analyse half-hourly data and confirm technical data provided for each site Confirm maximum kVA load (The tenderer’s proposed technology should be matched to the capacity of the supply transformer) Produce method statements and risk assessments and install data logging devices for agreed period to collect site power data, if power site data is required Remove data loggers from sites and analyse power data collected Liaise with Regional Electricity Company (REC) and/or the Establishment Site Liaison to establish the site shutdown criteria, permit to work procedure and authorised person for switching the HV network Attend meetings as required by the Establishment Site Liaison to report findings on progress Produce an outline design proposal showing the installation and location of equipment and highlighting any required temporary works (e.g. temporary Standby Generators) and proposed shutdowns and draft method statements and risk assessments Produce a draft project programme for the Works indicating timescales/lead times Propose a 3 Phase voltage reduction equipment at the entry of the low voltage supply point to the establishment. Remove all panels as required to install Test system at area designated in the scope of works. Commission system Re-install any panels that were removed for installation Make good any damage Clean away any debris and remove from site On completion provide certification of system Provide Site manager with O&M manuals Develop a training programme and provide suitable technical training for the Establishment’s Works Staff. Upon appointment the successful contractor will be expected to work closely with the Site Manager to complete the works in 3 phases:
