Extracurricular Positions. All extracurricular assignments shall be treated like regular teaching assignments with regard to posting, seniority rights and qualifications.
Extracurricular Positions. A. Extracurricular position openings shall be posted for a period of ten (10) school days, before an appointment is made. B. The Board shall use a volunteer for such positions, provided such volunteer is deemed qualified. C. The Board has sole discretion to determine whether or not an applicant for extracurricular positions is qualified. D. The Board has the sole discretion to appoint an employee or non-employee pursuant to law, of its choice to an extracurricular position, if no one applies. E. Extracurricular positions and their annual amounts of extra pay shall be as set forth in Schedule F, attached. F. In the event extracurricular positions are created in addition to those stated in Salary Schedule F, the salary for such positions shall be negotiated with the Association.
Extracurricular Positions. All elementary extracurricular positions will be posted. These positions will not be filled until the staff has been reassigned as a result of the building closing.
Extracurricular Positions. The parties agree that the filling of extracurricular positions presents certain problems which cannot be addressed by the procedure for filling vacancies in teaching positions. The following procedure shall govern the filling of non-coaching positions: 1. If the Board desires to declare any non-coaching position vacant for the following school year, it shall do so within forty-five (45) working days from the end of the particular activity. 2. Should the Board fail to declare a non-coaching position open within forty-five (45) working days from the end of the activity, the holder of the particular position shall be considered rehired for the following school year. 3. Should the Board declare a particular non-coaching position open within the allowable time frame, applications shall be received in the manner set forth in subsections (B) through (D). If no bargaining unit members apply for a non-coaching position other than the member or members who held the position(s) when they were declared open or if no bargaining unit member applies, the Board may then fill the position from non-bargaining unit persons. If bargaining unit members other than the previous holder of the position apply, the position shall be filled in accordance with subsections (B) through (D).

Extracurricular Positions. Individual teachers who have positions which provide compensation in addition to the rates provided in the basic compensation schedule will be relieved of them during the school year only for just cause. Teachers may be removed from such positions for the following school year if a written notice with reasons given for removal is provided by May 1. Otherwise, teachers shall retain such positions from year to year. In the event that there are no qualified volunteers available for staffing any extra- curricular position, the administration may mandate a qualified teacher to fill said position. A teacher in an extracurricular position will notify the Board in writing, on or before April 1, if he/she does not intend to continue in such position during the next school year. Teachers relieved of extra-duty positions under this Article III, Section 10, shall have the right to invoke the grievance procedure of this Agreement up to and including the Third Step but such grievance shall not be subject to arbitration.

Extracurricular Positions. A. During the regular school year, any assignment in addition to the normal teaching schedule, such as but not limited to those listed in this Article, shal be covered by a separate individual contract. The Administration wil have the right to fil the positions from within or from outside the bargaining unit and to assign individuals to these positions based upon many factors, including being employed by the District as a teacher.   • Filling Positions ‌ The Employer will determine when a position will be filled, the type of appointment to be used when filling the position, and the skills and abilities necessary to perform the duties of the specific position within a job classification. Only those candidates who have the position-specific skills and abilities required to perform the duties of the vacant position will be referred for further consideration by the employing agency. A. An agency’s internal layoff list will consist of employees who have elected to place their name on the layoff list through Article 34, Layoff and Recall, of this Agreement and are confined to each individual agency. B. The statewide layoff list will consist of employees who have elected to place their name on the statewide layoff list in accordance with WAC ▇▇▇-▇▇-▇▇▇. C. A promotional candidate is defined as an employee who has completed the probationary period within a permanent appointment and has attained permanent status within the agency. D. A transfer candidate is defined as an employee in permanent status in the same classification as the vacancy within the agency. E. A voluntary demotion candidate is defined as an employee in permanent status moving to a class in a lower salary range maximum within the agency. F. When filling a vacant position with a permanent appointment, candidates will be certified for further consideration in the following manner: 1. The most senior candidate on the agency’s internal layoff list with the required skills and abilities who has indicated an appropriate geographic availability will be appointed to the position. 2. If there are no names on the internal layoff list, the agency will certify up to twenty (20) candidates for further consideration. Up to seventy-five percent (75%) of those candidates will be statewide layoff, agency promotional, internal transfers, and agency voluntary demotions. All candidates certified must have the position-specific skills and abilities to perform the duties of the position to be filled. If there is a tie for the last position on the certification for either promotional or other candidates, the agency may consider up to ten

  • Other Positions Executive shall immediately resign, and shall be deemed to have immediately resigned without the requirement of any additional action, from any and all position Executive holds with the Company and its Affiliates on Executive’s Date of Termination.

  • New Positions The Board, in consultation with the Association, shall prepare a new job description whenever a new position of special responsibility is created or whenever the duties of any such position are changed or increased. When such a position is created or changed, the allowance shall be subject to negotiations between the Board and the Association.

  • EXTRA-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES 1. In this Agreement, extra-curricular programs and activities include all those that are beyond the provincially prescribed and locally determined curricula of the school district. 2. The Board and the Association consider it desirable that teachers participate in extra-curricular activities, and recognize that participation in extra-curricular activities by the individual teacher is on a voluntary basis.
