Facilitating Payments Clause Samples
A Facilitating Payments clause defines the treatment of small, unofficial payments made to expedite routine government actions. Typically, this clause clarifies whether such payments are permitted or prohibited under the agreement, often referencing relevant anti-corruption laws and specifying reporting or approval requirements if such payments occur. Its core function is to ensure compliance with anti-bribery regulations and to provide clear guidance to parties on handling these types of payments, thereby reducing legal and reputational risks.
