False or Fraudulent Statements and Claims. The DB Contractor recognizes that the requirements of the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act of 1986, 31 USC § 3801 et seq. and the U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) regulations, “Program Fraud Civil Remedies,” 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 31, apply to its actions hereunder. Accordingly, by signing the Contract, the DB Contractor certifies or affirms the truthfulness and accuracy of any statement it has made, it makes, or it may make pertaining to the Contract. In addition to other penalties that may be applicable, the DB Contractor acknowledges that if it makes a false, fictitious, or fraudulent Claim, statement, submission, or certification, the District and the federal government reserves the right to impose the penalties of the Program Fraud Civil Remedies Act of 1986, on the DB Contractor to the extent the federal government deems appropriate. 5 Information Supplied to DB Contractor; Responsibility for Design Disclaimer
