Common use of Filing and Processing Clause in Contracts

Filing and Processing. A grievance must be filed within sixty (60) days of the 6 occurrence giving rise to the grievance, or the date the grievant knew or could reasonably 7 have known of the occurrence. When possible the sixty (60) day periods above should 8 be used to attempt to informally resolve the dispute. The union ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇ or staff 9 representative will indicate when a discussion with the Employer is an attempt to 10 informally resolve a dispute.
