Common use of Finalization of the Evaluation Clause in Contracts

Finalization of the Evaluation. A. Not later than May 10th, a receipt of Summative Evaluation Form shall be given to the bargaining unit member and a conference shall be held between him/her and the evaluator. The teacher will be expected to enter their pin at the conclusion of the conference acknowledging the completion of the Summative Evaluation Form. B. The summative evaluation of a bargaining unit member shall be based upon student state required growth measures resulting from assessments that were administered in the previous school year, current local growth measures (SLOs), current year vendor assessments and performance that is assessed during formal and informal observations that are conducted for the current school year. The summative evaluation shall be based on teacher performance ratings and student growth measures in accordance with the percentages set forth in Ohio law and the District’s Student Growth Plan. C. The evaluation shall acknowledge the performance strengths of the bargaining unit member evaluated as well as performance deficiencies, if any. The evaluator shall note all the data used to support the conclusions reached in the formal evaluation report. D. The evaluation of all non-classroom teachers shall be based upon two (2) observations, walkthroughs and other performance indicators. Observations and walkthroughs shall comply with the provisions set forth in this Article. Upon completion of the annual evaluation process, non-classroom teachers will be assigned an effectiveness rating of Accomplished, Skilled, Developing or Ineffective.
