Common use of Fire Inspector Clause in Contracts

Fire Inspector. Fire Inspectors assigned to Prevention with the Fire Inspector II certification shall receive a premium of three percent (3%) of their base wage rate. a) Any inspector who has taken a voluntary demotion, has attained permanent status in the requested classification, and is still qualified to perform the work may be reinstated within three years from the date the employee voluntarily demoted. After three (3) years an employee will have to follow the fire inspector recruitment process and be reinstated from the current fire inspector eligibility list. b) Employees being reinstated to a position they previously held status in and completed a probationary period will not be required to serve another probationary period. The salary rate for employees reinstated from a voluntary demotion shall be at the same position in the salary range as when the employee last served in the classification or at the position in the salary range 12 that affords them the least reduction in pay from their current position.
