First Five Days. In cases where Worker’s Compensation is not immediately payable, the City will provide full pay, without charge against sick leave, during the first five (5) days off work and any portion thereof following an industrial accident provided the City determines that: The accident is, in fact, work related; Time off work is necessary as determined by the City’s physician; The duration of the time off work is necessary as determined by the City’s medical examiner. Any compensation insurance payments received by the employee, except for payments received for permanent or partial disability not associated with the current injury, shall be deposited in the City treasury for this five (5) day period.
