First Violation. The minimum penalty for a first offense is suspension from 1-3 game/meet/event. The principal/athletic director may assign a further penalty if warranted. If the violation occurs out of season, the penalty will be applied to the next season in which the student is participating in an activity. The student must complete the season in good standing.

First Violation. An employee receiving a verified positive test result from a random drug/alcohol test shall be removed from his or her position and required to attend the Employee Assistance Program (EAP). Failure of the employee to attend or comply with the recommendations of the EAP counselor shall result in discharge. An employee may be returned to work if all of the following conditions are met. (A) A recommendation is made by the EAP that the employee is returned to work; (B) The employee agrees to participate in continued counseling or treatment as recommended by the EAP and/or the MRO; (C) The employee agrees to discontinue any and all involvement with drugs and avoid the misuse of alcohol; (D) The employee agrees to participate in a follow-up testing program; (E) The employee agrees to complete and sign the follow-up testing agreement. Upon reinstatement the employee will be placed in the appropriate Step of Discipline. Failure of an employee to cooperate in counseling or treatment as recommended by the EAP and/or the MRO or the follow-up testing program shall subject the employee to discharge.
First Violation. Counseling and initial warning letter. A first violation usually occurs because the Ambassador is not familiar with the Policies and Procedures or the law. Counseling and the initial warning provide an opportunity for Compliance to bring to the attention of the Ambassador the Policies and Procedures and the specific violation, and to provide counseling on complying with the Policies and Procedures and applicable laws. Compliance will also describe expectations and steps the Ambassador must take to resolve the violation including, but not limited to, either removing or revising the non-compliant claim or how to remedy other policy violations. Compliance will monitor the file to determine if the non-compliant material or other policy violation has been remediated. If so, Compliance will close the file. If not, Compliance will proceed to Second Violation notice.
