Common use of Fixed Term Contracts Clause in Contracts

Fixed Term Contracts. (a) An employer may engage fixed-term contract employees for a specific period and/or until the completion of a specific short-term task. (b) Any employee engaged on a fixed-term contract shall be employed subject to the same terms and conditions as prescribed in this Collective Agreement for other employees of the same class/job category. (c) Fixed-term contracts shall be reduced to writing and shall stipulate the commencement and termination dates and/or completion date of the contract task. (d) Copies of all fixed-term contracts (as well as accompanying exemption application where applicable concluded in the Industry shall be forwarded to the Secretary of the Council, ▇▇ ▇▇▇ ▇▇▇▇, ▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇▇. ▇▇▇▇, for registration and processing by no later than seven days after commencement of duty of the employee.
