Common use of Flex Schedule Clause in Contracts

Flex Schedule. As an alternative to the normal schedule described in the above section, employees may be granted the option to participate in a Flex Schedule under the following terms and conditions: The Department Director, with the approval of the Town Manager, has the exclusive authority to approve an employee’s request for a flex schedule. The decision to implement or terminate a flex schedule is final and is not subject to meet and confer or any grievance procedure. Participating employees will be provided notification at least one (1) full pay period prior to termination of a flex schedule. Employees on a flex schedule will receive no more than eight (8) hours of pay on a City observed holiday and will be required to use other accrued leaves or to re-arrange their schedule to maintain 80-hours of pay per pay period.
