FOOD-CONTACT SURFACES Sample Clauses

The Food-Contact Surfaces clause defines requirements for any surfaces that come into direct contact with food during processing, handling, or storage. It typically mandates that such surfaces be made of materials that are safe, non-toxic, and easy to clean, such as stainless steel or food-grade plastics, and that they be regularly sanitized to prevent contamination. By establishing these standards, the clause helps ensure food safety and hygiene, reducing the risk of foodborne illness and ensuring compliance with health regulations.
