Food Service Managers. (a) An employee who is subject to lay off and cannot be assigned to a position as provided in Section (b) below may be assigned temporarily to any other vacancy in a department in the bargaining unit for which they are qualified. (b) At least three (3) days before being laid off or force transferred, an appointed employee shall be informed of all vacancies in any other work loca tions in their classification in the department in which they hold an appointment, for the purpose of giving them an opportunity, to be exercised within said three
