FOR AND IN CONSIDERATION Clause Samples

The "For and In Consideration" clause serves to formally acknowledge that something of value, known as consideration, is being exchanged between the parties as part of the agreement. In practice, this clause typically specifies what each party is providing—such as payment, services, or goods—in return for the other party's obligations. By clearly stating the existence of consideration, the clause helps establish the enforceability of the contract and prevents disputes over whether a valid exchange has occurred.
