For and on behalf of the Contractor Clause Samples

The "For and on behalf of the Contractor" clause designates that an individual or entity is acting as an authorized representative of the contractor in contractual matters. This means that when documents are signed or decisions are made under this clause, they are legally binding on the contractor, even if executed by an agent or employee. For example, a project manager might sign a contract amendment on behalf of the contractor, ensuring the contractor is still fully responsible for the obligations. The core function of this clause is to clarify authority and ensure that actions taken by representatives are officially recognized as actions of the contractor, thereby preventing disputes over authorization and accountability.
