Forms shall be of sufficient strength to withstand the pressure resulting from the placement and vibration of concrete and of sufficient rigidity to maintain required dimensions. Forms shall be constructed of either plywood or metal. The forms shall be tight to prevent leakage, straight, and without dents. Before placing either reinforcing steel or concrete, clean all form surfaces of mortar, grout and foreign material and cover the surfaces of forms with a coating (form release agents) that will prevent the absorption of moisture and prevent bonding with concrete.
