Formal Observations/Evaluation Cycles. These observations will include a preconference meeting, a classroom observation of at least forty (40) consecutive minutes and no more than seventy (70) consecutive minutes in length, within a single period or content block, a written observation provided to the teacher within five (5) school days following the observation, and a post conference completed within seven (7) school days following the observation. The first formal observation must be completed by the start of Winter Vacation and the second by May 1. The final performance rating for teachers will be determined by the building administrator based on the preponderance of evidence in the evaluation documents.
